First Wedding Prep Nerves

On Friday I am off down to Southsea, the place I like to call home, for my buddie's wedding. Michelle and Chunk are getting married and asked me to do the photography for them. I'm gladly doing it and honoured they asked me but by eck am I bricking it. I'll running through my list all day "lens cap off, check. Camera turned on, check. right exposure and focus..." Should be an amazing day and I can't wait to get stuck in.

For the wedding I was going to try and hire a Canon 5D mkII but the logistics and price of getting one were just too much hassle so I'm sticking with my trusted good ol' pal the Canon 400D, we've been through a lot together and glad to use her on my first wedding. I was also going to hire the lenses and a flash from the company but they made it all too much hard work so I went back to the lens company I have used before and one that were really helpful and I trust to get things right for me. Lenses For Hire are sending me the Canon 16-35mm 2.8 L II and the Canon 70-200mm 2.8 L IS. The second of the two I used on the photography course at The Trained Eye (see the blog post) and it was amazing. The other I have never used, I was looking at one I played with on the course for a couple of shots but this was slightly wider so I can get some good photo's of the Bride, Groom and their New York Taxi Cab!!! I'm hoping that with the f/2.8 I might get away without flash or just make do with my little pop-up.

I have also ordered some moo mini-cards for the wedding with the site address and username and password to enter the client section of the site. These will be given out to the guests on the day.

Can't wait to blog the outcome of the day. See you all soon!
